The General Assembly Sessions run every January through the end of February or beginning of March.

When we send out our "Calls to Action"- We need for Virginians to write to both their State Senators and Delegates. Sample emails will be in the email alerts.

Here is an sample email of what you will be asked to copy and paste.

Dear Senator/Delegate _______________,

Please support this year‘a anti-puppy mill legislation and vote yes to bill number ___________________. Virginians are against the importation and sale of puppy mill puppies in our Commonwealth. We disagree with the consumer fraud associated with our Virginia pet stores and allowing them to continue their barbaric practices. Virginia is better than this. Virginians deserve the right to know what type of breeding practices they are supporting when buying a new puppy.

Please continue to send emails by copying and pasting when we send out alerts to do so. Sometimes we have to send the same email two or three times but it is worth it. The more our legislators hear from their constituents, the sooner they are to vote the way we want them to regarding puppy mills and pet stores. Thank you for your support and don't forget, you can always call them and leave them a polite voicemail as well to support legislation.
